Later, we will enjoy a 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, where we will glide past enchanting floating vegetable gardens, handicrafts centers, and witness the unique lifestyle of people living on the lake for generations.
We will spend the night at a hotel with meals provided, including breakfast and dinner.
After breakfast, we will drive towards Gulmarg, one of the most stunning resorts in the valley, located approximately 52 kilometers from Srinagar. Historically, Gulmarg has been favored by royals like Yousuf Shah Chak and Jahangir, who frequented the area. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel.
Gulmarg is renowned for Asia's highest and longest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola (additional cost), which consists of a two-stage ropeway ferrying about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of the nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 meters or 13,780 feet). You'll have the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views and even try skiing on your own, as Gulmarg boasts some of the world's best ski slopes.
Additionally, Gulmarg features the highest golf course in the world with 18 holes, adding to its allure as a destination.
In the evening, we will drive back to Srinagar and check into our hotel for an overnight stay. Meals provided will include breakfast and dinner.
After breakfast, we will embark on a scenic drive to the majestic mountain resort of Sonmarg. The route to Sonmarg offers picturesque countryside views, including rolling hills, lush green forests, clear water streams, and blooming rice fields. As we pass through the town of Kangan, which serves as a local hub for this region, we will continue towards Mammar, renowned for its trout farm.
Along the way, we will stop at Gagangir, a tourist spot situated in the middle of the river Sindh. Gagangir appears like an island surrounded by snow glaciers, offering a serene and picturesque setting.
Upon reaching Sonmarg, we will embark on a 3-hour walk or horseback trip (or take a local Union cab, payment on a direct basis) to Thajwas glacier. This glacier trek provides breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks and pristine landscapes.
After returning from Thajwas glacier, we will visit the small town market in Sonmarg, where you can enjoy local snacks or observe the daily routines of the residents.
In the evening, we will return to Srinagar and check into our hotel for an overnight stay. Meals provided will include breakfast and dinner.
After enjoying a morning breakfast, we will proceed towards Pahalgam, renowned as one of the most beautiful places on earth. Often referred to as the "Village of Shepherds," Pahalgam offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel.
In Pahalgam, we will visit several attractions, including Aru Valley, Chandanwari, and Betaab Valley. You may also opt for a horseback ride through the wildlife sanctuary towards the picturesque Baisaran meadows. These locations are known for their stunning natural beauty, with lush green landscapes and snow-capped mountains providing a perfect backdrop.
After exploring these beautiful spots and enjoying the tranquility of the meadows, we will drive back to Srinagar in the evening and check into our hotel for an overnight stay. Meals provided will include breakfast and dinner.
